Обсуждение результатов профессиональной подготовки и учебных программ для молодежи с эмоциональными и поведенческими проблемами

Аннотация: 
Существующие результаты исследований обучения после окончания школы для учащихся с эмоциональными и поведенческими расстройствами (EBD) ясны: молодежь с EBD сталкивается с огромными проблемами. К числу препятствий, с которыми приходится сталкиваться, относятся низкие показатели завершения средней школы; усиление чувства социальной изоляции; рост числа случаев преступной деятельности; высокие показатели безработицы, неполной занятости и смены рабочих мест. Многие сложные факторы приводят к плохим результатам занятости для молодежи с ЭБД, и формальное определение отражает дефицит социальных, поведенческих и академических навыков, которые часто препятствуют способности молодежи с ЭБД в получении и сохранении значимой должности. Несмотря на эти проблемы, возможности профессионального обучения являются необходимыми для студентов с EBD по множеству причин, потому что участие в программах профессионального обучения может повысить мотивацию студентов стремиться к достижению работы. Адвокаты молодежи с ЭБД поддерживают деятельность по созданию и осуществлению профессиональных программ в целях содействия успешной занятости молодежи с ЭБД. В статье рассматриваются несколько стратегий улучшения результатов трудоустройства студентов с эмоциональными и поведенческими расстройствами.
